About Me…
My approach is always personalized, considering each client's unique lifestyle, preferences, and nutritional needs. I firmly believe in the power of food as medicine and am dedicated to helping my clients achieve optimal health and wellbeing through tailored nutrition strategies. Whether you are dealing with a chronic illness, seeking to lose weight, or simply wanting to improve your overall health, I am here to support you with expertise, empathy, and evidence-based guidance. As a dedicated Registered Dietitian, I bring a unique blend of expertise in integrative and functional nutrition. My educational journey began at California State University, Northridge (CSUN), where I earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Dietetics and Food Science. After graduation, I began my career in the field of food science. I gained valuable behind the scenes knowledge of how food production takes place from beginning to end, and a deeper understanding of food additives and ingredients. This experience has given me valuable insight into the food industry, enhancing my ability to guide clients through the complexities of modern food choices. To deepen my understanding of the intricate relationship between diet and health, I pursued a Master's degree in Integrative Nutrition from Maryland University of Integrative Health (MUIH). This advanced degree equipped me with a holistic perspective on health and wellness, emphasizing the importance of addressing the root causes of health issues rather than merely treating symptoms. I also believe that healing requires three important focus areas, which are the mind, body and the spirit connection. In the realm of clinical nutrition, I have worked extensively with chronically ill patients in a hospital setting. This challenging yet rewarding experience has honed my skills in medical nutrition therapy, allowing me to provide personalized, evidence-based dietary guidance to individuals with complex health conditions.
